Tups Indispensable
The ‘Tup’s Indispensable’ is a legendary trout fly that originated in England in the 1890s. Whilst the original dubbing mixture contained hair from a boar’s scrotum (a closely guarded secret for decades!), modern versions use an orange-pink mixture to achieve the same effect. It was one of the favourite flies of the legendary Swiss fly fisherman Jules Rindlisbacher. ‘Indispensable’ means essential – and that is exactly what this fly is.
